Adrenal Glands produce hormones including adrenaline, steroids and androgen.

Hormones produced by the adrenal glands regulate our stress response, cardiovascular function, blood pressure, electrolyte balance, metabolism, immune suppression, gastrointestinal function.

Androgens, are converted into sex hormones in the testes and ovaries and so are the base for progesterone, estrogens and testosterone.

With that portfolio you can see why adrenal health is so important.

The adrenal glands are best known for producing adrenaline, the fight or flight hormone that’s responsible for protecting us in stressful situations. Our modern problem is that we are so over stimulated with noise, light pollution, unnatural electromagnetic fields, information overload that we are constantly stressed. The result is an imbalance in adrenal hormones which may result in a wide range of health problems.

Learning how to deal with stress in a conscious, constructive way rather than reacting to stress is a one of the key basics to overall health and happiness. The stress response can be managed by staying aware of your stress levels; learning conscious breathing and other relaxation techniques; and by practicing other healthy lifestyle attributes like yoga and meditation.
